House Tour - Always Changing

A house tour.....

Faux wood (painted stucco)

The next big purchase will be a new stainless steel oven to match the rest of the appliances.

The countertops used to be white laminate. We painted them to look like a faux granite back in 2005. They have held up pretty well and not a bad investment at just under $100 for the entire project.

Pallet Wood Shutters

I really needed to add something to this wall on each side of this picture (which by the way is just some burlap scrapbook paper in a glass frame) but I wasnt sure what exactly to hang there. We had a couple of pallets that we had picked up and hadn't used yet, so I thought what the heck. We used the wood from one of the pallets and created these very simple shutters and hung them on the wall. I think it was just the right touch. It is really hard to get a good straight photo without being in the picture due to the reflection.
